Mark Barlow, O.D. is an optometrist at Galanis Cataract & Laser Eye Center, serving patients in St. Louis, MO. He specializes in diabetic eye care, the treatment of glaucoma and various other eye conditions including infections, allergies, dry eye, and more. In addition, he provides routine eye care, prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses.
Dr. Barlow earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. He continued his education at the University of Missouri St. Louis School of Optometry where he received the Contact Lens Achievement Award.
Prior to returning to Galanis Cataract and Laser Eye Surgery center in 2023, he practiced at Washington University School of Medicine, performing patient care and supervising ophthalmology resident physicians.
Dr. Barlow is a member of the American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association and the St. Louis Optometric Society.
He has taken multiple international trips to provide eye care to underserved populations in South America through Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and is very active in his church. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and taking care of his dogs.
