LASIK FAQs

How does LASIK correct my vision problem?

Nearsighted treatments flatten the cornea, farsighted treatments steepen the cornea and  astigmatism treatment changes the contour of the cornea from football shaped to basketball shaped. Using a cool-beam excimer laser, we are able to reshape the cornea to resolve these vision problems.

How do I know if I am a good candidate and which procedure is best for me?

If you are 18 years of age or older and have a stable prescription, you are likely to be a good candidate. We offer a free consultation to determine whether your prescription is within the treatable range and determine which procedure is right for you.

"Dr. Galanis and his staff cared for my eyes during my LASIK experience as if they were their own eyes. I could not have asked for better care or a better outcome. No more reading glasses! I love my new LASIK eyes. I especially liked the idea of the testing by wearing the contacts so I could tell if I was going to be happy with my post-LASIK vision. Great idea!"
